Geoscience Data Management - Certificate

The Geoscience Data Management Certificate equips students with knowledge in data management and governance practices to produce high-quality geoscience data. The need for qualified individuals in this field is growing rapidly and the certificate has been designed to meet this demand. Certificate students gain skills in data stewardship to maintain the integrity, quality, and reliability of geoscience data. The 12 credit hours completed for the Certificate Program can be applied to the 36-credit hour Master of Geoscience (MGsc).

This certificate will appear on the official Texas A&M University transcript and a paper certificate will be issued by the Office of the Registrar. Courses in the program are taught by faculty in Oceanography and affiliated departments at Texas A&M with expertise in data management. Its administrative home lies in Oceanography.
