Urban and Regional Planning - 5-Year Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Construction Management

The aim of the 5-year combination program is to offer motivated and exceptional students the opportunity to achieve their career goals to earn both the Bachelor of Science in Urban Planning and the Master of Science in Construction Management in an accelerated pathway without compromising the quality or scope.

The Bachelor of Science in Urban & Regional Planning is based on theoretical training in the natural, physical and social sciences and designed to equip students with knowledge and skills to deal effectively with the opportunities and challenges inherent in the development, growth and culture of neighborhoods, cities and regions. Students acquire skills that enable them to apply these theories to develop communities, cities and regions which are safe, healthy and sustainable.

While still completing undergraduate credits, students begin graduate coursework to obtain their Master of Science in Construction Management (MS-COMG). The MS-COMG is one of only five graduate construction management programs in the nation accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE). Furthermore, the MS-COMG is among the few graduate construction programs classified as a STEM program. The MS-COMG degree has both thesis and non-thesis options.
