Master of Science in Finance

The Master of Science in Finance (MS-FINC) "STEM to Stocks" Program is offered by the Adam C. Sinn ’00 Department of Finance. MS-FINC is a 36-hour, non-thesis degree which prepares non-finance undergraduate students for a successful career launch in corporate/government, consulting/professional services, and financial services roles. These careers can include Asset Management, Commodities Trading, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Management and Tax Consulting, Private Equity, Project Management, and Wealth Management.

This program is specifically designed for STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and economics/non-finance business majors. The focus of STEM to Stocks is on the practical side of careers/internships by giving students access to Mays Graduate Career Management Center, individual career coaching, and extensive soft skill development with the goal of students having a solid foundation for early career success.

Admission is available to current Texas A&M sophomores and seniors who have completed the prerequisites (ACCT 209 or ACCT 229/640 and ECON 202 or 203) with a ‘B’ grade or higher by the end of Texas A&M University's spring semester immediately following admission to the program. Sophomore Start is available to Texas A&M undergraduate students (May/December graduation dates) who have exactly two summers remaining prior to completing their undergraduate degree (typically current or rising sophomores). Admission to Senior Start is available to Texas A&M students (May graduation date) who are rising seniors. For Senior Starts, the ACCT prerequisite is due by the end of the fall semester of senior year.
