Master of Science in Educational Human Resource Development

Human Resource Development (HRD), as defined by the HRD faculty at Texas A&M University, is the process of improving learning and performance in individual, group, and organizational contexts through domains of expertise such as adult and lifelong learning, adult and workforce education and development, career development, training and development, and organizational development.

The Master of Science in Education Human Resource Development (EHRD) program offers an emphasis in Workforce, Adult, and Lifelong Education (WALE) or Human Resource Development (HRD). Students who pursue the WALE emphasis complete this degree entirely online. Students pursuing the HRD emphasis can either complete it face-to-face or online. In place of a final exam, students will compile a professional portfolio documenting degree progress throughout the program that is submitted in the last semester of coursework.

Interested students have opportunities for international travel, professional presentations, and writing for publication. Recent graduates have departed for jobs as corporate and government trainers, directors, faculty members, administrators in primary, secondary and higher education, curriculum designers, and consultants in various areas.

The program is approved for delivery via asynchronous or synchronous distance education technology.
