Master of Science in Psychological Sciences

Students in the Master of Science program gain training in the scientific study of human behavior relevant to a particular training program. Doctoral students in the Clinical Psychology and Industrial/Organizational Psychology programs complete a Master of Science degree as they progress toward the PhD.

The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences also offers a Master of Science degree in Psychological Sciences with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Industrial/Organizational (I/O) Psychology is the scientific study of human behavior at work and the application of that science to workplace issues facing individuals, teams, and organizations.  This program prepares students for future careers in consulting, private practice, government, and corporations. The MS in Psychological Sciences with a concentration in Industrial/Organizational Psychology emphasizes the application of psychological principles to human resource decisions and organizational behavior challenges. Students will benefit from training by faculty who are nationally recognized leaders in the field.
