The Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture (TLAC) offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education. Completion of this program leads to teaching certification in math and science for grades 4-8 and English as a second language within the constraints of the Texas Education Agency. Students interested in becoming a 4-8 grade math and science teacher should contact a TLAC undergraduate advisor in Harrington Tower.
Programs in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture are based upon new State of Texas standards. You must consult with an advisor in the Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture (Heaton Hall) prior to enrolling in coursework each semester or term.
