The Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture (TLAC) offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education. Completion of this program leads to teaching certification in grades EC-3 general education and English as a second language within the constraints of the Texas Education Agency. The EC-3 program focuses on preparing teachers to teach children in grades EC - 3, an area of specialization identified by the Texas Education Agency.
The following curriculum leads to the Bachelor of Science degree in Education with certification in Early Childhood, EC-3. Students are required to meet with their assigned academic advisor prior to registration each semester.
