Master of Science in Ocean Engineering

The Master of Science thesis and non-thesis degrees in Ocean Engineering emphasize breadth across the various fields of ocean engineering along with advanced capabilities in one of the focus areas – coastal works, off-shore-energy (oil and gas, and renewables), naval architecture and underwater robotics.

Students take intermediate and advanced level courses in many key sub-disciplines of ocean engineering. Electives are offered for further specialization in focus areas. The degree is appropriate for a career in any area of ocean engineering with advanced expertise in the chosen focus area.

This program is also approved for delivery via asynchronous or synchronous distance education technology, as well as for offering at the Texas A&M University at Galveston campus.
