Diving Technology and Methods - Minor
The minor in Diving Technology and Methods combines practical scuba training with advanced coursework highlighting scientific and specialized applications of diving. Students gain professional diving certifications and experience in scientific diving research . Students in any major may establish a minor field of study in Diving Technology and Methods through completing hours from the designated courses.
In addition to the course requirements, students must:
- Maintain compliance with training agency requirements.
- Maintain a GPA of 2.5.
- Maintain good health and fitness appropriate to the level of diving required. Adverse behaviors that put the diver or other participants at risk such as the use of alcohol or certain medicines may require the diver to be removed from the program.
