This program is provided for honors students who examine the role and career path of nurse scientists and explore the impact of nursing research on health outcomes and nursing practice.
The BSN Honors Program is designed for exceptional undergraduate nursing students aiming to excel in nursing science. Upon acceptance in the program, honors students are paired with a nurse faculty mentor for experiential research opportunities. Honors students investigate specific nursing problems and conduct defined research activities as part of the mentors’ research team. The program concludes with students presenting their research findings in the form of a professional poster, presentation, or publication, all while receiving guidance and support from their mentor. Honors students graduate with the designation of Honors in Nursing.
