Doctor of Philosophy in Hospitality, Tourism and Recreation Management

This program prepares students for a career as a university faculty member or as a research scientist in the private sector or with a government agency.

While each Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program is customized by the student and their advisor depending on the needs of the student, all PhD students should take a minimum of 18 credits within the departmentnot including HMGT 691 (Research).

A student's final degree plan must be approved by all members of the advisory committee and should reflect the rigor expected of a doctoral degree.
