Internal Audit - Certificate
Business students with a consulting mindset interested in serving an internal function with a broad focus on areas such as risk management, compliance, fraud investigation, and auditing for operational efficiency and effectiveness may be a good match for a career as an internal auditor.
To prepare students for such roles, the James Benjamin Department of Accounting offers an Internal Audit Certificate which is recognized and endorsed by The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) as a Center for Internal Auditing Excellence. This certificate is available to graduate students enrolled at Texas A&M University. To be eligible for this certificate, students must be pursuing a traditional (in-person) MS in Accounting, or be admitted into the Professional Program in Accounting (which may include pursuing an MS in another discipline, or an Master of Financial Management). Students must apply and be accepted into the Internal Audit Program in order to be eligible to take courses required for this certificate.
Students must complete the required coursework in College Station, Texas. All requirements must be completed prior to graduation. Upon fulfilling the certificate requirements, a certificate is issued by the Office of the Registrar.
