Agricultural Communications and Journalism - Minor
Students seeking a minor in Agricultural Communications and Journalism (AGCJ) should begin the process by discussing the option with their academic advisor in their major. Students should then make an appointment with an AGCJ advisor to discuss interests.
The AGCJ minor is highly focused on written communication. Students should consider their interest in writing before beginning the minor. Students seeking to complete the AGCJ minor will graduate prepared to assist with writing news releases, social media posts, photography or other media relations activities in many communication fields.
Eligibility Requirements to Declare an AGCJ Minor
Students must:
- Have a cumulative 2.5 GPA or higher and be in good standing with Texas A&M University;
- Have completed less than 70 hours;
- Meet with an AGCJ advisor for approval.
