Communication - Minor
The minor in Communication is a wonderful complement to any major, as communication is central to the experience of human life. Communication is fundamental to all human behavior, to all human endeavors. The minor in Communication includes a skills class, a choice of one of three courses vital to the study of communication (COMM 301 or COMM 305 or COMM 350) plus a choice of three additional courses from among the rich array of COMM offerings. Skills courses range from public speaking, interviewing, argumentation and debate to difficult dialogues or group communication, to note only a few. Communication courses afford the opportunity to examine how human communication and media can be described, critiqued, interpreted, and employed to influence and persuade in business, commerce, political, religious, social and personal contexts. This minor is open to all majors with the exception of Communication majors
