Communication - Minor

The minor in Communication is a wonderful complement to any major, as communication is central to the experience of human life.

Communication is fundamental to all human behavior, to all human endeavors. The minor in Communication includes a skills course, a choice of one of three courses vital to the study of communication, and a choice of three additional courses from among the rich array of communication course offerings. Skills courses range from public speaking, interviewing, argumentation and debate to difficult dialogues or group communication, to note only a few. Communication courses provide the opportunity to examine how human communication and media can be described, critiqued, interpreted and employed to influence and persuade in business, commerce, political, religious, social and personal contexts.
