The minor in German is an academic program open to all students. The minor combines courses in German language and culture and is a valuable complement to the academic portfolio of any student majoring in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences who wishes to add linguistic proficiency in German and an international dimension to their intellectual profile. In addition, German studies faculty offer study abroad programs in order to enrich student learning experiences and cultural knowledge while helping students attain higher proficiency in the language.
