Jewish Studies - Minor

The Jewish Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program that focuses on Jewish religious traditions, history, texts, art and figures from the ancient to the contemporary period.

Coursework addresses key issues in Jewish studies from multiple traditions, including religious studies, literature, history, film, anthropology and philosophy. The minor is open to students from any major and allows them to cultivate knowledge and understanding of Judaism, as well as Jewish history and culture, in regional and comparative contexts. A minor in Jewish Studies also helps prepare students for careers in education, international development, nonprofit agencies and NGOs, public relations and marketing, government service, international law, international business, engineering, global health and research.
