Russian - Minor
The minor combines courses in Russian language and culture, and is a valuable complement to the academic portfolio of any student majoring in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences, who wishes to add linguistic proficiency in Russian and an international dimension to their intellectual profile.
The minor in Russian is an academic program open to all students in the university. A minor in Russian also helps to prepare students for careers in education, international development, non-profit agencies and NGOs, translating and interpreting, public relations and marketing, government service, international law, international business, engineering, global health, and research. In addition, Russian studies faculty offer study abroad programs in order to enrich student learning experiences and cultural knowledge while helping students attain higher proficiency in the language.
