The Department of Teaching, Learning and Culture (TLAC) offers a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education. Completion of this program leads to teaching certification in grades EC-3 general education and English as a second language within the constraints of the Texas Education Agency. The EC-3 program focuses on preparing teachers to teach children in early childhood through 3rd grade general education settings, which is an area of specialization identified by the Texas Education Agency.
The following curriculum leads to the Bachelor of Science degree in Education with certification in Early Childhood, EC-3. Students are required to meet with their assigned academic advisor prior to registration each semester.
