International Agriculture - Certificate
This certificate provides students with focused knowledge and experience in global agricultural issues, enhancing their professional competencies and competitiveness in the workforce.
Students completing the graduate certificate in International Agriculture (INAG) gain specialized understanding in areas such as human capacity development and agricultural or natural resource trade and policy. Certificate courses must include more than 50% international agriculture content. Coursework draws from a combination of classes in the students’ home department and international agriculture courses offered by the Department of Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications and the Department of Agricultural Economics.
This is a multi-departmental certificate with several course options. Students must be reviewed by a departmental committee before completing 50% of their graduate program hours.
This certificate requires 15 credit hours, including an international capstone course or experience. It may be completed as either a part of a degree program or by enrolling in a certificate-only (non-degree) status. Whether completed as part of a degree or as a stand-alone certificate, students must apply for graduation for the certificate to be officially awarded and recorded on the transcript. Admission to the certificate requires a separate application and committee review. Interested students may apply through the INAG online application.
This program is also approved for asynchronous delivery through distance-education technology.
