French - Minor
This minor combines courses in French language and culture and is a valuable complement to the academic portfolio of any student majoring in the humanities, social sciences or natural sciences who wishes to add linguistic proficiency in French and an international dimension to their intellectual profile.
The minor in French is an academic program open to all students at the university. A minor in French helps prepare students for careers in education, international development, nonprofit agencies and NGOs, translation and interpreting, public relations and marketing, government service, international law, international business, engineering, global health and research. In addition, French studies faculty offer study-abroad programs to enrich students' learning experiences and cultural knowledge while helping students attain higher proficiency in the language.
