Graphic Design - Minor

The Graphic Design Minor allows you to specialize in design foundations. The minor is designed to provide students with a general understanding of typography, the use of image and color, layout, relevant software skills, and the language of graphic design. The program will also offer students the opportunity to have introductory exposure to the methods of the discipline of design.

Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 with 70 or fewer credit hours completed to apply and must maintain a C average or better in all Graphic Design Minor courses. The student’s home school/college/department may grant, with agreement from the School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts, transfer credit of no more than six credit hours. Transfer credit will not be accepted for any 300- or 400-level courses. Per University guidelines, the student’s home school/college/department is responsible for advising students pursuing the Minor in Graphic Design.

To apply, download the Graphic Design Minor Form via the PVFA website, complete it, and turn it into the Program Director.
