Global Health - Minor
The Global Health minor consists of 15 hours from selected upper-level Public Health coursework. Students with a minor in Global Health will be provided with an introduction to global public health problems and health care systems. Students are encouraged to select courses in consultation with a School of Public Health Undergraduate Academic Advisor. Students applying for a GHLT minor must have a 3.5 or better overall GPA and meet with a PHLT advisor to declare the minor.
Requirements to declare GHLT minor:
- Must have a 3.75 TAMU GPA
- The GHLT Minor must be declared before 75 hours are completed.
- Students must have the ability to successfully complete 15 hours of coursework before graduation – meaning 3 to 4 long semesters.
- A 3.75 GPA is required in minor coursework to maintain the minor.

Minimum of 6 hours at 300 to 400 level.
Students must have completed at least 45 hours, have a minimum TAMU GPA of 2.5 or higher, and a completed minor form filed in the Public Health Studies advising office to pursue this program.
