Post-Secondary Science Teaching - Certificate

The Texas A&M Post-Secondary Science Teaching Certificate, a cross-college collaboration between the School of Education and Human Development and College of Arts and Sciences, provides graduate students in the sciences an opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills related to effective science teaching at the college/postsecondary/university level. This hands-on, face-to-face program will prepare participants with rich experiences to understand: what has been learned from past efforts to improve science teaching and learning; issues that are unique in the teaching and learning of science; why so many students have difficulties learning science; research-based pedagogical decisions and practices that engage students; and the application of all this for improving science teaching and learning in large/small college/post-secondary/university classroom and laboratory settings.
