Italian - Minor

This minor combines courses in Italian language and culture and is a valuable complement to the academic portfolio of any student majoring in the humanities, social sciences or natural sciences who wishes to add linguistic proficiency in Italian and an international dimension to their intellectual profile.

The minor in Italian is an academic program open to all students in the university. A minor in Italian also helps prepare students for careers in education, international development, nonprofit agencies and NGOs, translation and interpreting, public relations and marketing, government service, international law, international business, engineering, global health and research.

Enrollment/Eligibility Criteria

Students must have completed ITAL 101 andITAL 102 and be enrolled in or have completed ITAL 201 prior to declaring the minor and must declare the minor before completing 90 credit hours.
